What does a HydraFacial feel like?

There is no aggressive squeezing or traditional manual extraction process, making it a comfortable way to thoroughly refresh congested skin.

Since there are no clinical tests available stating that HydraFacial is ok while pregnant, we recommend booking an alternative facial. Your skin is also going through many changes that may make your skin more sensitized than usual and we want to avoid skin reactions during this stage.

Will I have any downtime?

One of the benefits of HydraFacial is that there is generally little to no downtime. Your skin may look immediately refreshed and hydrated following treatment. Some clients may experience temporary redness, particularly if their skin is sensitive or congested, but this typically settles quickly.

How often should I get a HydraFacial?

Many clients enjoy HydraFacial treatments about once every 4–6 weeks as part of a consistent skin-health routine. Your ideal treatment schedule depends on your skin, lifestyle, goals, and other treatments you're receiving.

For special events, travel, or a quick complexion refresh, HydraFacial can also be a wonderful standalone treatment.

Can I get a HydraFacial before an event?

What should I avoid before my HydraFacial?

To help keep your skin comfortable and reduce the chance of irritation, let your esthetician know about any active skincare treatments or products you're using. Always tell us about recent chemical peels, laser treatments, injectables, or other professional treatments before your HydraFacial so we can determine the appropriate timing.

Depending on your skin and treatment plan, you may be advised to temporarily pause strong exfoliating products, retinoids, or other potentially irritating actives before your appointment. Avoid waxing or aggressive exfoliation immediately before treatment as well.

Can I use my regular skincare after a HydraFacial?

Your skin may be especially receptive to nourishing skincare immediately following your treatment. We recommend professional grade skincare products and keeping your routine gentle and following your esthetician's post-treatment recommendations.

Daily SPF is especially important, and we recommend avoiding excessive heat, intense sun exposure, and aggressive exfoliation immediately following your treatment.

How is a HydraFacial different from a traditional facial?

A traditional facial typically combines hands-on cleansing, exfoliation, massage, masks, and extractions. HydraFacial uses specialized technology to combine cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration in a continuous treatment.

How often do you recommend getting a Hydroderm Facial? For optimal skin health we recommend receiving a Hydroderm Facial every 4 weeks. Our skin cycles through in about 28 days. When our skin hasn’t been professionally exfoliated, we begin to experience buildup of keratinized cells, frequent breakouts and rough texture. Exfoliation is key for effective skincare product penetration and makeup application.

Will dermaplaning change my facial hair texture? No, it is biologically impossible for hair to grow thicker after a dermaplaning treatment. Hair will grow back at the normal rate and texture.

How often is dermaplaning recommended? The average hair and skin cycle is about 3-6 weeks but slows down as we age. We recommend dermaplaning within that timeframe for healthy skin turnover.

Why is dermaplaning not recommended for those with active acne? We recommend first treating acne and breakouts prior to performing Dermaplaning. Acne is an inflammatory response to a deeper rooted issue and we like to approach it in a more holistic manner. Please consult with one of our Licensed Estheticians prior to booking this service if you have further questions and they will be happy to help guide you to the best choice for your skin concerns.

Professional-grade peels work more deeply than a standard facial, so your skin needs to be conditioned first for optimal results.

• Minimum prep time: Your skin should be on a professional-recommended, pro-grade skincare routine for at least 1 month before receiving a peel. 3 months or longer is strongly recommended for optimal results and to minimize risk of irritation, uneven peeling, or complications.

• New to professional skincare or unsure if you're ready? We recommend starting with our Hut Glow Facial. This allows us to assess your skin condition, introduce you to professional-grade products, and build your core four routine — cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize, SPF — before moving into peel treatments.

What is the downtime after a chemical peel? Plan to take it easy for at least 3 and up to 1 week post peel, depending on your peel depth. No intentional sun-exposure like long beach days for the following days. Maintain a super clean environment for your skin to heal and restore itself.

Can I exercise after a peel?

We do not recommend doing anything that will bring heat or an inflammatory response to your skin for the first 48 hours. Please plan your exercising, and outdoor activities accordingly.

What is Microchanelling?

Microchanneling temporarily creates thousands and thousands of micro-channels into the skin to be repaired by new healthy collagen. It also allows topical solutions to absorb 200%-300% more effectively into the living skin below. During the treatment, serums are applied (containing naturally-derived growth factors, peptides and cytokines) restoring and increasing biological communication within the skin during the wound-healing cascade that an aging immune system no longer provides.

What skin conditions is Microchanelling ideal for?

Microchanneling is fantastic for preventative and corrective concerns including post acne scarring, facial laxity, softening fine line and wrinkles, and lightens the appearance of red and brown tones on the skin.

Microchanelling Contraindications:While micro-needling treatments are safe and effective, there are some who will not be good candidates for this types of advanced treatment.

Pregnancy – If you are pregnant or nursing you are advised to not receive any microneedling treatments. To date, there have been no studies conducted to see what effects these treatments may while pregnant, for this reason we want to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe during this period of time.

Diabetes - Unstable diabetes patients should not be treated due to problems with healing.

Accutane or any related acne medication - Accutane or any related drug should be discontinued for a minimum of 6 months prior to undergoing micro-needling.

Active Herpes Simplex in the treatment area - treatment is possible once the outbreak is healed, however it is advisable to take a prescription strength antiviral medication to keep this condition in remission during the treatment series.

Any active inflammatory skin condition e.g. eczema, psoriasis, infection, rash or any type of dermatitis at the treatment site.

Are your facials pregnancy or nursing safe?

Yes! All of our facials, add-on's and skincare products are safe to receive while pregnant. We have curated naturally derived skincare brands that are professional-grade and have undergone rigorous testing

Before your facial:

Plan to perform any workouts before your facial and not afterwards. Avoid using harsh chemical or physical exfoliants 4 days before your facial. Plan to silent your phone and smart watches so you can fully enjoy and relax during your service. Make sure you have completed your client intake form and have updated any changes in your skincare routine. Let your Esthetician know your main concerns and what you would like to focus on during your facial.

After your facial:

Snap a glowy post-facial selfie! Then, we recommend taking it easy for the rest of the day, no rigorous exercises or sweating, and please avoid touching your skin for the rest of the day. Also, we recommend avoiding heavy foundations on the day of your facial. Make sure to wash and dry your makeup brushes with an anti-bacterial soap, and replace your sponges and applicators with new ones. Extra points if you remember to wipe down your cell phone and replace your pillow case!
